University of Basra organizes a seminar on the response of wheat crops to plant growth regulators

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar entitled "Wheat Crop Response to Plant Growth Regulators."

The seminar, presented by researcher Manar Abdul Karim Matroud, aimed to clarify the role of growth regulators in improving wheat germination, growth, yield, and quality, particularly in the face of climatic challenges.

It also addressed the physiological response mechanisms of the plant and the importance of the optimal application of these compounds to increase crop efficiency and reduce stress.

The seminar highlighted the strategic value of wheat as a staple food crop, which necessitates enhanced research to develop effective agricultural practices that ensure its sustainable production.

These studies contribute to developing practical recommendations for farmers to adopt production improvement techniques in an economically sound and environmentally safe manner, which will positively impact food security.
