The University of Basra is organizing a training course on resource management and promoting academic integrity in scientific research.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a two-day training course entitled “Resource Management and Academic Integrity in its Utilization,” aimed at developing the research skills of faculty members and researchers and promoting a culture of scientific integrity in academic output.

The course, presented by Dr. Riyadh Adnan Armila and Dr. Mujtaba Abdul Wahab Taher, aimed to clarify methods of documenting and managing sources according to rigorous academic standards. It also introduced modern applications in reference management and their role in supporting the quality of scientific research.

The course covered the role of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, in supporting academic writing. It also discussed tools for detecting manipulation, examining research manuscripts, and analyzing suspicious data, along with practical applications based on real research models.

The course recommended adhering to academic integrity and rigorous scientific standards at all stages of scientific research, which contributes to enhancing the quality of research output and raising the academic level and scientific standing of the university.
