The Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, organized a series of seminars for postgraduate (Master's) students. These seminars, led by a scientific committee formed by the department head, were held as part of the department's efforts to support research and develop students' academic skills.
The seminars addressed modern scientific topics in the fields of fisheries and marine resources, including techniques for developing aquaculture and increasing production efficiency, improving the quality of local fish products, studying fish diseases and methods of prevention and control, and the sustainable management of water resources and marine wealth.
These seminars aimed to enhance students' ability to present their scientific research in a rigorous academic manner, provide an opportunity for dialogue with the scientific committees to exchange ideas and refine research approaches, and expose them to the latest global scientific studies and developments in this field.
The department's professors commended the outstanding academic level demonstrated by the postgraduate students, emphasizing the importance of these activities in preparing academic researchers capable of contributing to the development of the marine resources sector and serving the community.
