A master's thesis at the University of Basra discusses improving cucumber productivity in desert conditions.

A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, investigated the effect of irrigation duration and foliar application of a mixture of amino acids and seaweed extract on two cucumber varieties.

The thesis, presented by researcher Hussein Jarallah Zaji, aimed to evaluate the efficiency of cucumber plants and determine their response to irrigation scheduling. It also sought to understand the role of foliar feeding with amino acids and seaweed extracts in enhancing vegetative growth and productivity, as well as the combined effect of these factors and the plant's ability to withstand environmental stress conditions.
