The University of Basra achieves a new global milestone with the Basra Journal of Agricultural Sciences entering the second quartile (Q2) ranking within the Scopus global database.

With immense pride and honor, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, extends his warmest congratulations to the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, the teaching and research staff, and the editorial board of the Basrah Journal of Agricultural Sciences, on the journal's scientific achievement of ranking in the second quartile (Q2) of the Scopus database and its Citescore impact factor rising to 2.
