A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, investigated the morphological, biochemical, and genetic effects of salt stress on tissue-cultured date palm offshoots, testing mitigation mechanisms using amino acids and salicylic acid.

The thesis, submitted by student Rasha Hatem Shanshul Jari, aimed to study the effect of spraying tissue-cultured date palm offshoots with different concentrations of these substances on assessing growth and anatomical characteristics under salt stress.

The study recommended the potential use of amino acids and salicylic acid as mitigators of salt stress and the expansion of date palm cultivation using plant tissue culture techniques to address salinity challenges.
