A professor at the University of Basra chairs a master's thesis defense committee at the University of Dhi Qar.

Dr. Amjad Kadhim Rasen, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, chaired the master's thesis defense committee for researcher Ahmed Abdul Karim Atshan Wadai at the College of Agriculture and Marshes, University of Dhi Qar. The thesis, titled "Adding Different Levels of Thiosilicate to Carp Fingerling Diets and Comparing Them to Their Growth with a Standard Diet," aimed to study the effect of adding different levels of thiosilicate to carp fingerling diets, evaluate its role in improving growth and production efficiency, and compare it to a standard diet.

The thesis recommended adopting an optimal level of 2 mg of thiosilicate in carp fingerling diets and conducting further studies to evaluate its impact on health, immunity, and economic aspects in aquaculture systems.
