Dr. Jamal Abdul-Ridha Abdul-Sayed, a lecturer in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor.

The rank was awarded after he fulfilled all the requirements for academic promotion stipulated in the Promotions Law. It is worth noting that Dr. Abdul-Sayed specializes in fruit physiology within the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.
