The Dean's Office of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra announces the commencement of accepting applications from students wishing to apply directly (morning studies) for the academic year 2026/2027, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education outlined in the Student Affairs Procedures Manual and the Admission Requirements and Conditions (paragraph B-2-10).
Eligible Categories and Application Requirements:
1. Graduates of vocational preparatory schools (agricultural branch) and (industrial branch/food industries department only) are eligible to apply with a minimum average of 60%.
2. Graduates of vocational preparatory schools (agricultural branch) and (industrial branch/food industries department only) who are farmers or children of farmers are eligible to apply with a minimum average of 55%.
A valid and original agricultural contract in the student's name or their father's name, or a letter of support proving their membership in an agricultural association, is required. This letter must be officially certified by the Ministry of Agriculture or the Directorate of Agriculture in their governorate of residence.
Students wishing to apply should visit the Registration and Student Affairs Division in the Dean's Office of the College of Agriculture at the Karma Ali campus, bringing with them official documents, four passport photos, their preparatory school certificate or a letter of support from their school, and a medical examination certificate to complete the application form.
