Master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra (The effect of variety, atonic concentrations, method of addition and the interaction between them on some vegetative, chemical and productive traits of okra plant

The message of the researcher (Sarah Hussein Ali) included determining the best okra variety suitable for cultivation in the environmental conditions of Basra Governorate and determining the best concentration of the biostimulant that leads to improving the characteristics of vegetative growth, yield and its components of okra, as well as determining the best way to add the biostimulant (soaking and spraying). The thesis aims to identify the effect of the variety, atonic concentrations, the method of addition and the interaction between them on the okra plant. The thesis also recommended the expansion of the cultivation of the local varieties, the Forty and Al-Hussainawiyah, for their high productivity, and the Clayson and Clamson Spinelles cultivars for their medium productivity and high quality. The possibility of using a tononic catalyst concentration of 1 ml. L-1 by spraying the vegetative group of okra and other vegetable crops grown in the southern region and the introduction of okra cultivars New and its experience in the southern region (Basra) in Iraq. The thesis concluded that the cultivar Arbaina, Cleason and Clemson Spinelles were superior in most of the vegetative, chemical and yield characteristics, and the concentration of 1ml.l-1 of atonic biostimulant was superior. The method of spraying the tononic biostimulator was superior in most of the vegetative, flowering and yield growth characteristics.
