The University of Basrah organizes a seminar on the relationship between shade plants and the Mites economic...problems and solutions

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the most important mite families that cause economic damage to shade and ornamental plants.

The aim of the episode in which Asst.Pro. Hayat Mohammed Reda Mahdi aims to identify the types of harmful plant mites, the symptoms of their resulting infestation on shade plants, and how to distinguish and diagnose them.

 

 

The seminar discussed preventive and therapeutic methods to reduce the damage of this pest. The seminar also addressed the most important chemical pesticides used to combat the harmful roles of this pest and limit its spread. It also touched on the use of biological control agents such as pathogenic fungi on arthropods, as well as the use of predators and plant extracts against this pest.

 

The episode touched on the importance of shade and ornamental plants because they add beauty and psychological comfort, in addition to purifying the air and preserving the environment.
