The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop on "Common Reproductive Disorders in Cattle and Sheep: Causes, Prevention, and Treatment."
The workshop aimed to focus on the most important factors leading to reproductive disorders, including reduced fertility and temporary and permanent infertility in farm animals in general, and cattle and sheep in particular.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Falah Abdul-Muhsin Abdullah, covered the most important of these factors: nutritional, environmental, pathological, and administrative. All of these can be controlled through the implementation of plans and programs such as balanced nutrition, vaccination against diseases, and attention to animal housing in terms of hygiene and important administrative matters.
The workshop recommended paying attention to the nutritional and health aspects of animals, maintaining clean and well-ventilated housing, and preventing overcrowding in barns.
