The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar entitled "The Use of Fungi and Plants in Insect Control."

The seminar aimed to introduce the fungi and plants used in insect control.

The seminar, presented by lecturers Shatha Fadhil Abdul-Sayed and Inam Mohammed Hussein, included a discussion of the methods used by fungi in insect control, such as natural methods of inhibiting insect growth, and the role of plants as plant extracts.

The seminar recommended the use of fungi in fungal suspensions and plants, specifically extracts, to reduce insect infestations, which are included in integrated pest management programs.
