The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra is holding a Martyrdom Festival to revive human values ​​and commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra held a Martyrdom Festival, attended by the Dean's representative, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, along with a number of faculty members and students, to commemorate the martyrs and their immortal sacrifices for the nation.

The festival included a diverse program featuring cultural activities, speeches, and poems expressing the meaning of sacrifice and selflessness, as well as showcasing heroic acts that embody the human and national values ​​represented by the martyrs.

In his address during the festival, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of loyalty to the martyrs' sacrifices in the students' hearts and drawing lessons and inspiration from their noble lives, thus strengthening the spirit of belonging and national responsibility.

The festival witnessed widespread participation from the attendees, who expressed their pride in this occasion, which embodies the highest meanings of sacrifice and devotion, stressing the necessity of holding such events due to their role in promoting moral and national values.

The organization of this festival comes as part of the activities of the College of Agriculture aimed at supporting the cultural and national aspects of students, and strengthening their connection to their history and national identity.
