Hello and welcome to the website of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra. I feel proud and pleased to lead this pioneering college. The College of Agriculture was established at the University of Basra in 1971. It is one of the first colleges established at the university. We have a clear vision for developing the agricultural sector and promoting scientific research in this vital field. The College of Agriculture consists of eight specialized departments, where we offer comprehensive and distinguished educational programs in areas such as plant agriculture, agricultural engineering, life sciences, agricultural economics, and others. We are keen to provide an appropriate and suitable educational environment to develop our students’ skills and enable them to achieve their ambitions and professional goals. At the College of Agriculture, we work to enhance scientific research and innovation by providing research and development opportunities for faculty members and students. We also strive to link theory with practice and apply scientific knowledge to solve current agricultural problems and develop sustainable agricultural technologies.
