A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed (the effect of salicylic acid and potassium humate on the growth and yield of two hybrids from Lahana in southern Iraq) The thesis, the researcher (Bushra Abdul-Hussein Maleh Abd) included three factors - the first factor is the cross, which includes two hybrids of Lahana, the Galaxy hybrid, and Dora. The second factor - the effect of watering with potassium humate, where the experiment included three concentrations of 0.2,5,5 g. L-1 The third factor - the effect of spraying with salicylic acid The results of the experiment showed that the concentrations of 2.5 and 5 gm l-1 of potassium humate were significantly different compared to the concentration of 0 gm l-1 in most of the vegetative growth and yield traits in addition to the chemical and qualitative characteristics, but it increased by increasing the concentration in most experimental traits. The thesis aims to select the best hybrid from the high-yielding Lahana hybrids that are suitable for the conditions of the southern region. And the effect of the ground treatment of potassium humate on some vegetative, yield and chemical characteristics. And knowing the effect of foliar treatment with salicylic acid and its role in improving the characteristics of vegetative growth and chemical and qualitative yield. The thesis concluded that the two genotypes differed in response to the study's treatments, and the hybrid "Dora" was the distinct structure in some characteristics of vegetative growth and chemical characteristics, while the hybrid "Galaxy" showed superiority in the marketing yield. The letter recommended to: Adopting the hybrid "Galaxy" under the conditions of the southern region of the country. And conducting more studies on the hybrid "Galaxy" and introducing other new varieties and hybrids.
