On Sunday morning, March 20, 2022, at nine o’clock, the master’s thesis was discussed by the student, Ayat Nouri Salman, tagged (patterns of growth, mortality, and exploitation of two types of tilapia fish in the Karma Ali River, north of Basra). The discussion committee consisted of a. Dr.. Amjad Kazem Resan, president and membership of a. Dr.. Afrah Abdel Maktouf and assistant professor please Abdel Ali, under the supervision of a. Dr.. Abdul Razzaq Mahmoud Muhammad at the Department of Fish and Marine Resources at the College of Agriculture - University of Basra. The thesis dealt with the study of two types of tilapia fish (indigo and blue) for the period from (October 2019-September 2020). The results of the study showed that the growth of individuals of both species was positively asymmetric, and the FiSAT ll program was adopted in evaluating the stocks of individuals of both species. The study also showed that the pattern of supply For individuals of monophasic species, the message concluded that it is possible to achieve more production and achieve maximum sustainable production by reducing the sizes of fishing nets openings used in catching both types of these fish.
