The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan, follows up on graduate students ’projects, including the research project of doctoral student Haider Ali Karim. Where the dean emphasized the need to pay attention to the research methods of the project and follow-up of the scientific development of vegetable crops cultivation in Basra Governorate. As the project site in Safwan includes the cultivation of 21 cucumber varieties, the study of salt tolerance and access to the gene expression of salt tolerance. The Dean stressed the need for continuous follow-up of students and overcoming the obstacles facing them in all circumstances and times, and expressed his appreciation for the extent of efforts made by the student and his supervisors and their keenness to continue his work despite the circumstances the country is going through, the Corona virus pandemic and the conditions of curfew.
