University of Basrah Evaluation of an awareness lecture on electronic extortion and its impact on young people

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Center for Educational Counseling and Psychological Care at the University of Basra, held an awareness lecture about electronic extortion and its impact on young people. Nour Katea Abbas The lecture aimed to explain the reasons why young people fall into the trap of electronic extortion, the most important of which is the parents’ neglect of this important group of society, the weakness of family care, and the great lack of parental affection that a large class of young people suffer from, in addition to the weakness of the general culture of children and their influence on cultures foreigners and their addiction to social media channels. The lecture also referred to ways to correct the course of children if they were subjected to electronic blackmail.
