The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled "Study of the effect of magnetized water on some horticultural crops" presented by Ph.D. student Muhammad Yunus Harija in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Design.
The seminar aimed to introduce the technology of magnetized water and the changes occurring in water molecules at the physical and chemical level as a result of exposure to the magnetic field and the effect of magnetized water on the growth and yield of some horticultural crops. The seminar included that the treatment with magnetized water leads to a significant increase in most of the vegetative and fruiting characteristics as a result of changing the water properties, such as reducing surface tension and increasing water fluidity. The seminar recommended the necessity of using magnetized water to irrigate all horticultural plants.
