The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra hosted a scientific symposium organized by the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra, in the Martyr Mohammed Mohsen Badan Hall, entitled "Proper Methods for Reducing and Controlling Stray Animals." The symposium was held as part of scientific cooperation between the university's colleges.
The symposium was attended by a number of deans, faculty members, researchers, and students from various disciplines. Participants discussed the most prominent environmental and health challenges associated with the phenomenon of stray animals and ways to limit their spread according to sustainable scientific and health principles, with a focus on the veterinary, environmental, and social dimensions of this phenomenon.
This symposium is part of the university's efforts to enhance community awareness and stimulate cooperation between colleges in the fields of research and scientific education, contributing to the provision of practical solutions to environmental and health problems that affect daily life in society.
