The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad, received an "Excellent" rating in the evaluation of the scientific and academic situation for the academic year 2024–2025, organized by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Bureau - Scientific Evaluation Department - Measurement and Evaluation Division of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This achievement recognizes the distinguished efforts made by the College's Deanship, the Dean's Assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the heads of scientific departments, faculty members, and all affiliates in developing academic, scientific, and administrative performance, in line with the requirements of quality and academic accreditation in Iraqi higher education institutions.
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra is one of the leading colleges in Iraq in the fields of agriculture, environmental sciences, and animal production, and continuously strives to enhance its role in supporting food security and sustainable agricultural development through scientific research, advanced education, and community service.
