The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a specialized scientific workshop on "Developing Researchers' Scientific Publishing Skills."

The workshop aimed to address how to manage sound scientific research and publishing, and to raise researchers' awareness of the importance of scientific publishing and its role in developing academic careers and increasing research impact. It also enabled them to understand the foundations of preparing and publishing research in reputable scientific journals.
The workshop topics included a discussion of the reasons and importance of scientific publishing, the principles of writing a research paper and its typical structure, the mechanism for selecting an appropriate journal for publication, and calculating researchers' scientific publication coefficients. It also introduced the most important guides and websites that help researchers access reliable journals.
The workshop recommended adhering to scientific research ethics, focusing on content quality and methodological accuracy, planning publications in advance, and using reliable academic platforms and sources to avoid fake journals and achieve scientific publication with a real impact.
