The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "Modern Methods of Controlling Stored Insects."
The seminar, presented by Dr. Iman Musa Imran, aimed to demonstrate how to use these methods to control stored-stored insects.
The seminar covered the most important control methods, including ozone gas, smart fogging, ionizing radiation sterilization, and genetic methods using molecular markers—a technique employed in gene editing or modifying the responsible genes. It also addressed the use of biological control against stored-stored insects.
