The College of Agriculture / Department of Soil Science and Water Resources held a course for employees of the environmental departments in the southern governorates on the use of remote sensing technology in the study of pollution and environmental degradation,

It aimed to teach the trainees on remote sensing technologies and geographic information systems in identifying areas exposed to pollution or environmental degradation, with identifying the best spectral evidence for that. Training was also carried out on how to deal with geographic information systems in providing satellite image and making the necessary corrections and matching them
