Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, was selected as a scientific reviewer for 26 research articles published in the Journal of Applied Biology & Biotechnology, a journal ranked in the third quartile (Q3).

Dr. Al-Shawi stated that this journal focuses on publishing research in the field of applied food science and is published by Open Science Publishers LLP Inc. in India.
