The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a dialogue seminar on the Counseling Unit—its importance, objectives, and implementation mechanism.

The seminar aimed to enhance students' mental health by providing psychological support, spreading awareness of psychological and educational counseling, and addressing behavioral problems that impact academic achievement. It also works to develop students' skills in dealing with emotions and stress through awareness workshops and lectures. It also aims to foster a positive relationship between the unit's head and students to ensure a safe and supportive university environment.

The seminar included a lecture by lecturer Iman Qasim Dawood, in which she emphasized the importance of psychological support in enhancing students' adaptation and academic achievement. She also emphasized supporting students' mental health, spreading awareness of psychological counseling, conducting awareness workshops on emotions and communication, and strengthening the relationship between the unit's head and students.
