The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a dialogue seminar on evaluating the Field Crops Department's curricula and their suitability for the labor market.

The seminar aimed to discuss the curricula in the Field Crops Department and their development in accordance with the Bologna Process, which aims to improve the quality of education, unify its systems, and enhance the ability of learning outcomes to meet the needs of the labor market. Professor Dr. Karim Hanoun Mohsen and Assistant Professor Dr. Khawla Rashid Hassan lectured at the seminar, with the participation of a group of department professors and students, as well as a group of staff from the Basra Agriculture Directorate, the Plant Protection Department, and the Seed Testing and Certification Center.

The seminar included a discussion of the Field Crops Department's curricula, their updating in accordance with the Bologna Process, and the extent to which these curricula and the updates made to them meet the requirements of the labor market.

The seminar recommended the need for continuous communication with employers and stakeholders in the agricultural sector to measure the compatibility of curricula.
