Dr. Arshad Talib Mohsen, a lecturer at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, participated in the International Cooperative Scientific Conference on Modern Agricultural Technologies, which was held at the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk.
The participation included publishing a research paper titled "
Influence of Adding Fresh Azolla on the Productive and Physiological Traits of
Iraqi Local Ducks."
The research aimed to use different levels of fresh Azolla in feeding local ducks and study its effect on productive and physiological traits. The addition of fresh azolla resulted in improved productive traits such as weight, weight gain, and feed conversion efficiency, without any negative effects on the health of the birds.
