The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the effect of foliar spraying with potassium sulfate and ascorbic acid on the growth and flowering of dahlia plants.
The seminar, delivered by researcher Janan Amer Abbas, aimed to highlight the effect of biostimulants in improving vegetative and flowering growth characteristics, and to study the interactions between them to enhance plant efficiency under local agricultural conditions.
The seminar included a presentation of the optimal concentrations used to stimulate vegetative and flowering growth.
The results indicated that foliar feeding represents a promising method for increasing the productivity of ornamental plants. The results of this study can be applied to other plants to enhance growth efficiency and flowering quality in record time and with high efficiency.
