The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Center, organized a symposium on the phenomenon of bullying, its causes, types, and methods of addressing it.

The symposium, delivered by lecturer Ashwaq Jabbar Hamoud, aimed to highlight the most prominent causes and types of bullying, which take various forms, including physical, verbal, psychological, social, and electronic bullying.

The symposium also covered the psychological and social effects of bullying and methods of treatment and prevention.

The symposium concluded by stating that confronting the phenomenon of bullying requires collective awareness and shared responsibility among families, educational institutions, and the media to spread a culture of respect, acceptance, and cooperation among individuals, preserving a healthy and safe environment for all students.
