The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the effect of ozone fumigation on the storability of three date palm varieties.
The seminar, delivered by researcher Sajjad Karim Laibi, aimed to evaluate the effect of ozone fumigation on reducing rot incidence, weight loss, and total soluble solids in three date palm varieties during storage.
The results showed that the incidence and total soluble solids increased with increasing storage time.
The study recommended the use of other date varieties and testing them using ozone fumigation.
