The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a ceremony honoring three of its faculty members on the occasion of their retirement: Professor Abbas Kadhim Obaid, Professor Nawal Mahdi Hamoud, and Professor Fakhriya Abdullah Abdul Abbas. The ceremony was held in recognition of their distinguished academic and research achievements.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Professor Mohammed Al-Najjar, and a number of faculty members and affiliates. They praised the distinguished contributions of the honorees during their long years of service at the university and their outstanding contributions to the development of the college's educational and research efforts.

In his speech, the Dean expressed his thanks and gratitude to Professor Abbas Kadhim Obaid for his great efforts in serving the college and the university, emphasizing that his career is an exemplary model of dedication and academic dedication.

For his part, Dr. Obaid expressed his pride in belonging to the University of Basra and the College of Agriculture, thanking his colleagues for this generous initiative and wishing the college continued progress and prosperity.
