The University of Basra organizes a discussion session on extracting biological precursors from the residues of some local grains.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on extracting bioprecursors from some local grain residues and studying their nutritional and physiological effects on juvenile common carp.
The seminar, presented by researcher Zainab Shaker Salem, aimed to develop simple and economically viable methods for extracting bioprecursors from wheat and barley bran and rice bran, and adding them to common carp feed as supplements. The seminar also aimed to determine their effects on growth and nutrition, as well as some hematological and physiological indicators.

The seminar addressed some growth criteria and feed evaluation, various hematological and physiological indicators, the chemical composition of fish bodies, and measuring the bacterial community in fish intestines.
