The University of Basra organizes a discussion session on the response of two cauliflower varieties to foliar spraying with growth stimulants.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on the response of two cauliflower cultivars to foliar spraying with the growth stimulant Atonik on growth and yield.

The session, delivered by researcher Shahd Shaalan Ward, aimed to examine the effect of different concentrations of the growth stimulant Atonik on two cauliflower cultivars and their interactions on vegetative growth indicators and yield.

The results showed an increase in both quantitative and qualitative yield by spraying plants with appropriate concentrations, with one cultivar significantly outperforming the other.

The study recommended that, to achieve abundant production of cauliflower plants grown in Basra, it is recommended to grow the Alnahar cultivar and spray it with the growth stimulant Atonik at a concentration of 3 ml/L.
