Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, conducted a comprehensive inspection tour this morning, encompassing various departments and facilities of the college.

The tour aimed to closely observe the progress of academic and administrative work and ensure the readiness of classrooms, laboratories, and agricultural areas to serve the educational and research process.

The Dean began his tour by visiting the classrooms, where he listened to students' feedback on the learning environment and services provided, emphasizing the need to provide everything necessary to enhance academic achievement.

The tour also included the research and scientific laboratories, where the Dean reviewed the available equipment and directed that it be maintained and updated regularly to support advanced scientific research in the fields of food security and sustainable agricultural development.

He also visited the college's gardens and experimental plots, stressing their importance as practical platforms for training students in the latest agricultural technologies.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Dean held a brief meeting with several department heads and administrative staff, emphasizing the importance of joint coordination and teamwork to provide the best possible services to students and researchers.
