The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "Insect Extinction and its Impact on Sustainability."

The seminar, presented by Dr. Faisal Nasser Jaber, aimed to raise awareness among attendees about the importance of insects in ecosystems and sustainable agriculture.

The seminar addressed the reasons for the decline in insect populations, including intensive agriculture, climate change, and pesticides.

It also discussed the impact of extinction on food security and biodiversity, and the importance of scientific monitoring and practical solutions for preserving beneficial insects.
