The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a workshop entitled "The University's Role in Raising Awareness of Social and Cultural Human Rights Among Students."

The workshop, presented by Dr. Sahar Sabah George, aimed to introduce the concept of social and cultural rights and their importance in building a conscious university community that respects human values. It also highlighted the university's role in establishing the principles of justice, equality, and respect for cultural diversity among students.

The workshop covered several topics, including the concept of social and cultural human rights, the importance of raising awareness of these rights within educational institutions, and the role of universities in promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance among students and supporting activities and programs that contribute to developing their awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
