Under the slogan "The Fruit of Perseverance"... the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra celebrates the graduation of students from the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources and honors postgraduate researchers

Under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, and with the participation of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, and the Head of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Professor Dr. Khalida Salem Khudair, the college organized a grand academic ceremony to honor a group of postgraduate students (PhD and Master's) and celebrate the graduation of fourth-year students for the current academic year.

The ceremony began with a special tribute to the postgraduate students, in recognition of their rigorous research efforts that have enriched the scientific literature with innovative findings in the fields of marine sciences and fisheries.

In his address during the ceremony, the Dean emphasized that the college prioritizes supporting researchers, noting that the achievements of the postgraduate students represent a qualitative addition to Iraqi scientific research and contribute to finding practical solutions to the challenges facing the marine environment and aquaculture. In an atmosphere of pride, the graduation ceremony for fourth-year undergraduate students was held. The Head of the Fisheries and Marine Resources Department commended the students for their discipline and dedication throughout their studies, emphasizing that the department is graduating specialized scientific personnel capable of entering the workforce and serving the agricultural and water sectors in the province and the country.

The ceremony concluded with the Dean and his Assistant Dean presenting awards of excellence and certificates of appreciation to outstanding students and distinguished researchers. Attendees praised the College of Agriculture for its role in fostering an environment conducive to innovation.
