As part of the University of Basrah's strategy to strengthen scientific partnerships among its academic departments, a delegation from the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Unit at the College of Agriculture conducted a field visit to the laboratories of the College of Science, including the Departments of Life Sciences and Environment. The visit aimed to explore new avenues for research collaboration and the exchange of technical expertise.
The tour included visits to the central laboratory and the biotechnology and microbiology laboratories, where the delegation was briefed on the latest equipment and technologies used in precision extraction and laboratory analysis. The delegation received a detailed explanation of the mechanisms of operation of the advanced equipment and its application in specialized research that bridges agricultural sciences and biological technologies.
Those leading the visit emphasized that this initiative aims to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application. They stressed that integration between the Colleges of Agriculture and Science is a fundamental pillar in supporting the university's research endeavors, contributing to raising the quality of scientific output and addressing environmental and agricultural challenges using modern scientific methods.
