In a demonstration of social solidarity, the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organizes a humanitarian support campaign for Basra Specialized Children's Hospital.

As part of its initiatives to promote community service and strengthen the values of human solidarity, a delegation of faculty, staff, and students from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a field visit to the Basra Specialized Children's Hospital (a hospital specializing in cancer treatment) to provide moral and material support to children battling cancer and their families in need.

The visit included a tour of the hospital wards to check on the children's health (may God grant them a speedy recovery). Financial donations and gifts were presented to the families of the patients in need, aiming to alleviate their burden in meeting the costs of treatment.

The faculty members leading the initiative emphasized that this visit stems from the University of Basra's belief in its responsibility towards the community. They pointed out that the role of the academic institution is not limited to the classroom, but extends to addressing community issues and supporting the most vulnerable groups, especially these heroic children who face their illness with unwavering determination. The children's families and the hospital administration expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this kind gesture from the College of Agriculture, emphasizing that such visits leave a positive impact on patients and their families, and embody the spirit of good citizenship and cooperation between educational and health institutions.
