Some of lecturers and students of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a visit to the Children's Specialized Hospital on the first days of Eid Al-Adha.

The visiting aim to  stand by children with cancer, raise their spirits, and add joy and happiness to them. The administrative assistant of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Mohsen Abdel-Hay Dashr, stated that with a humanitarian initiative from the college students, donations were collected from professors and associates. A delegation from the college represented by the administrative assistant and some students paid a field visit to the hospital, which includes a number of children suffering from cancerous diseases and blood diseases from Basra Governorate and a number of governorates in southern Iraq During the visit, Eid gifts and some sums of money were presented to them on the occasion of the Eid The visiting delegation conveyed the greetings of the Dean of the College and all its affiliates to the sick children and their families, and their calls for wellness and recovery.
