Doctoral thesis at the College of Agriculture at Basra University (morphological, physiological and molecular study of cucumber varieties grown in greenhouses under the influence of salt stress

His thesis included the researcher (Haidar Ali Karim Nafnov) Cultivation of 21 varieties of cucumber The thesis aims to identify the genetic divergence and affinity between varieties and to identify one of the salt-tolerant genes The thesis recommended the adoption of the Karbala and Basra varieties that are most tolerant of salt stress The thesis concluded the efficiency of ISSR technology in detecting genetic variations between cultivars and selecting the badi UBC842 as a starter to distinguish between tolerant and non-stress-tolerant cultivars.
