A ministerial delegation visited the University of Basra, specifically the College of Agriculture, on Monday, 9/11/2023. This visit was made for the purpose of reviewing the infrastructure, laboratories and classrooms. The delegation took an exploratory tour accompanied by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Raghdan Hashem Mohsen, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen. The delegation visited all the college’s facilities and closely reviewed the latest developments in the laboratories and advanced scientific equipment available there. The delegation also visited the computer laboratories and reviewed the quality of computers available in each laboratory, in addition to the modern classrooms that provide modern presentation methods and are consistent with the Ministry’s policy of promoting e-learning. The delegation also visited the dairy industry and consumer protection laboratories and reviewed the advanced equipment in them, in addition to reviewing the research, studies and patents issued by the consumer protection laboratory. The aquaponics project established with support from the World Food Program was also visited. At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation praised the developments achieved in the College of Agriculture, including the infrastructure, laboratories, and the quality of equipment available there.
