University of Basrah hosts Tabarak Girls' Secondary School students

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah hosted Tabarak Girls’ Secondary School students on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, as part of its scientific program in receiving scientific trips. The visit aimed to introduce the first-year middle school students to the laboratory activities and activities that are conducted in the College of Agriculture as part of the school’s practical curriculum. They visited the central laboratory, the medicinal and aromatic plants laboratory, the laboratories of the Food Science Department, and the laboratories of the Animal Production Department, and the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Raghadan, introduced them. Hashem Mohsen detailed explanation of the most important analyzes conducted in laboratories and the importance of the college in supporting the agricultural economy, as well as a visit to the Insect Museum in the Department of Plant Protection and the Plant and Animal Field at the Agricultural Research and Experiments Station, noting that the number of students who participated in the scientific trip was 75 female students accompanied by five female teachers. They learned about the laboratory equipment present in the college, and the school’s teaching staff praised the great scientific progress in the laboratories and their keeping pace with development in various scientific fields.
