The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Raghdan Hashem Mohsen, along with the heads of scientific departments and some college professors, made a visit to the nursing home in Basra with the aim of strengthening social ties and providing support to the elderly. During the visit, we met with some elderly people, listened to them, and distributed some gifts to them. The visit came with the aim of bringing joy and happiness to the elderly, who represent an important pillar in society. During the visit, the Dean expressed his appreciation and respect for the elderly and their important role in society, stressing the importance of caring for vulnerable groups in society and providing them with the necessary aid and support. The visiting ambassadors also expressed the college’s readiness to provide assistance and support in the future, in an effort to serve the community and raise the level of social care for the elderly.
