The University of Basra's football fields witnessed a thrilling and decisive match today, Thursday, December 11, 2025, as part of the Dean's Cup Futsal Tournament. This tournament enjoys the direct sponsorship and attention of the Dean, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed, to encourage sports and recreational activities.

The match pitted the Food Science and Fisheries Departments against each other. The Food Science team displayed exceptional performance and complete control of the game, securing a resounding and well-deserved victory with a score of 8-1.

This tournament is part of the college's efforts to enhance communication and participation among all its members. The match was well-attended by officials, underscoring the college's unwavering support for student and sports activities. The presence and participation of the Dean, his academic and administrative assistants, and faculty members contributed to a positive and friendly atmosphere among the students, who enthusiastically cheered on their teams.
