In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to launch Global Entrepreneurship Week, and under the direct guidance of the University of Basra and its President, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra participated actively and prominently in the week's events, which ran from Sunday, February 8th to Monday, February 12th. This participation underscored the college's leading role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the needs of the labor market and society.
The College of Agriculture's participation embodied its vision of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship by showcasing scientific and applied outputs, including innovative research and projects in the fields of food production, agricultural industries, fertilizers, and biotechnology. These initiatives aim to provide the public and private sectors with practical and investable scientific solutions.
This participation was distinguished by the active presence of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, along with its faculty and students, who presented high-quality projects that have garnered significant interest from the market and the community. This reflects the college's standing as a productive academic institution, an active partner in sustainable economic development, and a vital link between the university and the needs of society.
