On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Student Activities Division – Sports and Scouting Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, held a five-a-side football match as part of the Dean's Cup tournament. The match was between the teams from the Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Department and the Plant Protection Department.

The match witnessed outstanding performances from both teams, with the Plant Protection Department team achieving a resounding victory with a score of 7-0 after clearly dominating the game.

A number of faculty members and students attended the match in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of positive competition among the academic departments.

The match was officiated by Professor Dr. Waleed Latif Mu'ayridh, a Physical Education instructor, who managed the game with great skill.

This tournament is one of the purposeful activities organized by the college to promote cooperation and fair competition among students, as well as to support sports and scouting activities on campus.
