University of Basra organizes a scientific visit to Al-Fares Agricultural Company

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a field trip to Al-Fares Agricultural Company for second- and third-year students, accompanied by several faculty members. This visit was part of the college's scientific and field activities aimed at enhancing students' practical skills.

The trip aimed to familiarize students with agricultural methods in desert regions, introduce them to the types of fertilizers used and suitable for various crops, and explain how to apply them. Students also visited the company's exhibition, which showcased modern irrigation equipment, pipes, and agricultural supplies.

The visit included a tour of the nursery specializing in shade and ornamental plants, where students learned about propagation and care methods. This experience helped bridge the gap between theory and practice and broadened their understanding of modern agricultural practices.

This visit reflects the College of Agriculture's commitment to supporting practical and field activities and strengthening ties between the university and the agricultural sector. This collaboration contributes to developing qualified graduates capable of meeting the demands of the job market.
